"We are the Dream" Concert & World Peace Walks:

From: Evolve Elemental

Here's the breakdown on the concert:

''We are the Dream Concert'' in Washington DC on April 11th 2009 on the grass field between the Monument and Capital building. It is about living the Universal Dream of existence that was spoken by King and inspired by the great work of the other wayshowers of peace and justice like Gandhi, Mandela, etc...

It is a free concert but we can raise monies through donation, food sales, live streaming, cd/dvds of the event, making podcasts, and other avenues for a deserving non-profit organization that is really doing the work out there. I have some ideas but I am doing some more research to make a final decision. I have been thinking The Global Fund /Save the Children or we can spread the proceeds to a couple of organizations that are really getting the work done. My main concern is getting the money to the children directly and efficiently.

The main event and concert will consist of Speakers and Musicians. We will have a global village with tents from organizations that are truly bringing solutions and help to our planet, ie, One.org, Red, Keep A Child Alive, Amnesty International, Care, Save the Children, Oceana, Sea Shepard, etc.

I am looking to have a welcoming ceremony where you and the rest of the gang (www.GandhiPeaceWalk.org) come in to kick off the event. We will then unveil a huge peace mandala with hearts made of flowers and grains in Tibetan fashion in the middle of the field.

The goal with the speakers is to have a person who represents a different facet of what needs help on the planet. Would like to have Bono, Jeffrey Sachs and Bobby Shriver on global poverty, debt relief, and Aids, the Dali Lama, Jack Healey on the struggle for Human Rights, Paul Watson founder of Greenpeace and Sea Shepard on Animal Rights...

I spoke with Bono briefly two weeks ago when I met him and the Edge in Los Angeles at the BB KING event. I gave him a little package about the concert. Also, I spoke with Bobby Shriver last night and will be forwarding him the info today.

Some speakers we already confirmed are Michael Beckwith from ''the Secret'' and the Agape International prayer ministry, and Jack Healey from the HRAC.

We also want musicians that are bringing a positive uplifting inspiring message. I have some acts with a powerful message that are not known globally yet. We would also like to have bands like the Dave Matthews band, Alicia, Jay Z, Common, Damian Marley, Jack Johnson, Blackeyed Peas, Red Hot Chili Peppers, LinkinPark, U2, etc. This is a tentative list and some have already been approached.

So that's pretty much the vision...

It's such a powerful time and we have a great chance to expand on the great changes we are experiencing in the country and humanity.

As you know we have children around the world who truly need help and WE have the power to change that...

Anything else you need let me know? You should hit some of the college campuses along your route (www.GandhiPeaceWalk.org) and stir up what you are doing and tell them you are going to a celebration in DC, "WE ARE THE DREAM"
Amen
Keep up the great work!
God Bless You Always,

Evolve

Trail Of Dreams World Peace Walk:

Thank you so much "Long Walkers" for sending me your email video presentation. I want you to know that after reviewing your video, the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walkers, who left home from Atlanta, GA nearly three years ago, and are currently in Morocco, North Africa, to walk around the world for peace, have decided that each day beginning on April 14th, we will walk in solidarity with the mission and efforts of the Longest Walk (www.LongestWalk.com). We will be with you in the Spirit of Peace, and on July 11th we will be in Ghana, West Africa, where we will hold a peace ceremony at the Slave Dungeons of Elmina and Cape Coast for peace and reconciliation of all the spirits of our ancestors who were savagely stolen from Africa during the Atlantic Slave Trade.

On August the 8th we will be beginning our preparations to cross the Atlantic for South America. Again, we will be with you in the Spirit of Peace. Just as you have said, all of us on this walk sold or gave away all of our possessions to embark on this journey of Spirit. So we walk each day in the knowing that Great Spirit has already taken care of all our needs. We will make a contribution to your efforts. Though it may be small, it comes with many prayers that all you need is already there for you. Please continue forward.

We invite you to join us in NYC on January 21, 2009, when we return to the USA and invite the entire world to walk the final leg of the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk with us in what we call the Trail of Dreams World Peace Walk-A-Long: www.TrailOfDreamsWorldPeaceWalk.com The walk will go from NYC to Atlanta, GA arriving in Atlanta on April 21, 2009. Join us as a peace partner and let us bring our walks together on this final leg.

----

I am so inspired to hear of all the great peace initiatives that are going on simultaneously. We are now in the Caribbean and will soon be headed to Cusco, Peru for a very special ceremony honoring the coming together of the Eagle and the Condor. I will be carrying the pipe (which has gone around the world with us) and will be in various ceremonies from Nov 15 - 19th. (www.PeaceAndDignityJourneys.com)

We celebrated 3 years on the Trail on October 21, 2008. What a feeling, we are so close to completing the walk. I am humbled by this experience in so many ways and to know that we are all doing this together and connecting all the dots...what can I say? It is NOWTIME.

Peace Be With You and All of Our Family on the Trail to Peace,

Audri

Hi, I am proud to be part of this wonderful work for peace not only in the US but all over the world.I was at Jacksonville for the conference on peace transformation at UNF where I met John for the first time.I saw the Peace Mural both at the UNF and on display at the Jacksonville Library.I must commend the amount of work, both intellectual and physical that has been invested in this project , not to mention financial.Huong and John are two of a kind who are passionate about World Peace and have been inviting the world to buy into this brand whose dividend would go beyod all imaginable bounderies.
I want to wish every member of this community a life of peace while enjoining us to invite others into this potentially global familly.Remember the book Global Conscience?
Shalom,

Nov. 27 (Thanksgiving Day): The mural opens in two days. We are still in midst of installation that began Sunday. This is a project of humongous proportions. Nearly 2000 paintings in 8 rooms over two floors and 10,000 sq feet. The building has character, part of the Georgetown historic district … the exposed brick walls fit the mural well, giving a hint to the mystery of a past when others have struggled for peace in times of war, fear and conflict. Huong's energy drives me. She is am amazing woman. I hope and pray this project will inspire many and empower them to act for peace in ever more creative ways as we seek to transition from a culture of violence to a culture of peace. The window signs went up yesterday and many folks are walking by, peering through the windows with curious looks as they watch the exhibition unfold. We've done all we can to promote, with such limited staff and resources. So much more could be done. But we have limits to our capacity... Yet Huong challenges me and everyone to do yet more, for Peace. We are still needing many dollars to come through donations to pay our bills. We open 10am on Saturday. The timing is extraordinary ... through the holidays and all of January, overlapping the Obama inauguration. They say that 3-5 million with be in DC. How many will come to see the Mural? How many will be impacted? And what will they do for peace? A new time in America, and the World, WE HOPE ... we are here to be part of that and say, "Peace Now ... No More War ... never again."

"Excellent exhibition and the content it manifests. In all ages, migration has been and still is part of human history; there's always been hardships for the immigrants, and we tend to forget that we all are part of this process. 'Never discriminate the immigrant'. Wonderful work. " - Ninil Lopez

Quotes of Immigration Mural Event on Feb.12

I’m always frustrated when I hear people refer to and about “illegal aliens” with the attitude that they are somehow different in their hopes and desires from those of us born here. Can we not show compassion for people who risk so much for freedom and hope only to have what we by the luck of our birth? Freedom isn’t a commodity that is diminished when offered-it only becomes stronger in its resolve to prevail.  –Beverley Cardona

The mixture of perspectives and intelligent…
